Playa Centro is one of those places you understand better when you walk it. Everything feels close. Fifth Avenue runs through the whole area with cafés, restaurants, bars, rooftops, and beach clubs in every direction. And the best part is that every street leads to the beach, which makes daily life feel relaxed and easy.
Calle 38 is one of my favorite spots. It's the greenest street in Playa, and it takes you straight to Playa 38, where you can walk along the shore toward Mamitas or Coco Beach. You'll also find Taquería Sánchez there, easily some of the best tacos in town. For breakfast, I like Cachito, and if you want to eat right by the ocean, Piaggia is always a great choice.
What I love about this area is how easily people imagine their future here. Some picture slow mornings by the ocean, others see a winter escape, and others want a spot to enjoy their vacations while being in one of the region's best-performing Airbnb markets. And something I notice often is that they end up coming back more and more, escaping here whenever they can because they finally have their own piece of paradise.
